Sultry Halloween Inspired Make-Up

Every year Halloween comes around and I excite myself saying I’m going to go out and do something. Then it comes and goes and I haven’t done anything. I can’t wait until I get my own place and I can just have a Halloween party myself. Saves me having to think about what to wear, where to go, how much money to spend and getting home at the end of the night.

And I love a bit of horror. Name a horror film that I haven’t watched. Or a mystical TV series that I haven’t seen at least one series of. Witches, wizards, vampires, werewolves, whitewalkers, shapeshifters, shadowhunters, fallen angels. Since the days of teen and young adult novels, I’ve been interested in the paranormal. What can I say?

I was inspired to create a make-up look (not a scary, costume one) by the pumpkin colour orange. Pretty much all of my eyeshadow palettes have orange shades in them and they work really nicely with my skin tone. I decided to create some sort of blown out, slightly smokey, subtle orange eye look that you could wear on Halloween, or just everyday if you pair it with a nude lip and minus the lashes. Although these lashes are really subtle so you’d get away with wearing them on a daily basis if you wanted to.

What are you doing for Halloween?
